For the forth year in a row, AOC is offering a complete home makeover to a Valley
homeowner in need, at no cost to the homeowner.

Last year, AOC provided a omplete home makeover to a Phoenix homeowner, worth over $80,000 in materials and labor. The homeowner received new electrical and plumbing systems; complete kitchen remodel including cabinets, countertops and appliances: complete bathroom remodel, furniture and more!!!

What a day we had on Saturday March 13th. Our second annual motorcycle run kicked off at our Stardust Building Supplies location. With numbers that doubled since last year, riders ventured the roads and stopped at various locations to get THE BEST POKER HAND!!!
After Stardust Building Supplies, they headed over to Joeta’s leathers, on to THE VU and a small mix up with the volunteers left Hacienda Harley with no one to help with drawing of the cards ~ Ouch… but to no avail, these riders are troopers and they ended up the ride at The Hideaway for a double draw, LUNCH and PRIZES!!!
You all made the day fun and thank you for your support of Angels On Call. I hope you take the time and come back to one of our stores and see just what Stardust Building Supplies has to offer. Just remember that anytime you donate used building materials to Stardust Building Supplies, these go directly towards our Angels On Call Mission. Whether is be usage of product in a low income household or money’s generated from sales.

Come join Stardust Building Supplies and friends for Happy Hour With The Angels, Thursday, September 24th, 5-8:30 p.m., at Coach and Willies in downtown Phoenix. Proceeds from the event will support Stardust's community service programs, including Angels On Call. This event is a great opportunity to gather with our friends and supporters to network, share news about Stardust and just have a great time!

Tickets to the event are $20 at the door. Raffle items and a silent auction also will be part of the fun. Tickets include a drink coupon, drink specials, one raffle ticket and heavy hors d'oeuvres. Raffle tickets are $5 each or five for $20, available at the event.

Stardust Building Supplies is a Phoenix-based non-profit community service organization that provides low-cost, donated building materials to the public through two retail centers in the Valley, located in Phoenix and Mesa. Stardust uses the profits from its retail centers to fund two community service programs. Angels On Call provides no-cost home repair services and other related assistance programs to eligible homeowners and renters. Since its inception in 2000, AOC has provided over $500,000 of material, services and support to those in need. Computers For Kids recycles donated refurbished computers to elementary school-aged children in disadvantaged school districts

On January 23, 2009, the US Department of Health and Human Services issued an annual update to the Federal Poverty Guidelines to account for last calendar year's increase in prices as measured by the Consumer Price Index.

To apply for assistance from ANGELS ON CALL, you must meet the following guidelines:

* You must own your home (manufactured homes must be newer than 1985 – no pre-HUD homes)

* You must be referred by a government or other non-profit agency, church or social program.

* You must be within 100% of the U.S. Federal Poverty Guidelines*.


ANGELS ON CALL staff and representatives reserve the right at their sole discretion to deny an applicant’s request for assistance for any reason.

If you are a referring agency or organization, please contact us to refer someone to us for assistance.

Home Makeover 2009: Kickoff!

The initial kickoff for Kathleen's home has officially begun!

On Friday, she signed the papers clearing the way for us to begin the project of making over her home and bringing it up to livable standards.

Units Storage is donating storage bins for Kathleen to store her belongings during the transition. Thanks so much, guys!


We are now on Facebook groups - Come join our cause! So far, we have 48 members and have received donations totaling $1050! We still need more, but it's a great start.
